Objectives – Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme

The Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme (the Scheme) is jointly organized by the Tourism Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, with the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence as a co-organizer. More than 3,600 young people have received training since the Scheme’s inception in 2001. They showcase a hospitable Hong Kong for visitors and strengthen Hong Kong’s appeal as a premier travel destination. In its 18th year, the Scheme will continue to nurture young people to be Young Ambassadors through distinctive voluntary services which aspire to:

  • promote a sense of courtesy and helpfulness to visitors and foster a culture of hospitality
  • cultivate a mindset that embraces service excellence
  • enhance the sense of belonging to and understanding of the diverse culture of Hong Kong
